Hi, I’m Tricia, founder of InPlace Yoga & Wellness. I’m excited to bring yoga to places that are most comfortable and convenient for you, your friends, and your coworkers.

How did InPlace Yoga & Wellness come to be?

Yoga has been extremely impactful for me. I started practicing casually in my 20s and soon discovered the benefits. Eventually, I started teaching classes and participated in training. Yoga has allowed me to reduce my back and neck pain, improve my body awareness and flexibility, and use my breath as a tool to guide my movement and relaxation. The frequency of my practice has ebbed and flowed as I experienced life, but one consistent thing is that I feel better and healthier when I do yoga regularly.

In March 2020, my dad, Tom Marty, died of pancreatic cancer. His passing occurred at the very start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Following his death, so many things were off balance; my kids were doing school from home, I was working from home, many things were shut down, and there was so much uncertainty in the world. It was during this time that I turned to yoga to provide a daily routine and constant in my life. Through daily practice, I was able to work through my grief and strengthen my mind and body.

Since we were not able to have a public funeral to honor my Dad the way he deserved, I wanted to create something in his honor. Through much thought and prayer, I created InPlace Yoga & Wellness. This venture will allow me to bring yoga to people in a variety of places. Pancreatic cancer is represented by the color purple and InPlace’s colors were chosen in honor of this and of my dad.

My goal is to take you on a journey where you can tune into your body and what it needs. By creating opportunities to connect movement with breath, you will grow in your practice, become more mindful, and strengthen your body, body awareness, and confidence.

Life’s obligations can leave little time for healthier things like yoga. I hope that by bringing yoga to you, I can help you get some of that time back and remove an extra layer of stress.

Consider scheduling a session in a place that’s comfortable for you!
